I believe in an informal but guided approach to learning. This can help nervous students feel relaxed and I can bring myself to emphasise with their feelings or anticipation about learning. I can cater my spoken language to any level, child through to adult. I am very good at simplified work when needed and access resources to help and guide the individual. Having a background of a family of teachers, and having worked in the retail sector years ago, having my own small businesses and then now working in a school environment are all areas that have given me a great mix of skills of communication, learning, understanding.
Understanding a person and their needs goes along way to help them achieve a life goal. Such as an exam, conversational language, learning the basic CVC words. There is such a broad area I can cover and work with. Reading is an essential key to like and learning. It can help with spelling, understanding context, sentence structure, how to use words and where. Especially in younger ages, unfortunately children have forgotten the importance of reading and people like myself should help individuals, young and older realise the amazing world of reading. Also talking, conversation when learning, this also helps with hearing a word in its correct context, allowing the learner to again understand the word, then you can give other examples of context and meaning and then origins of words if it so wished. I am a patient and kind individual who likes to help people realise their potential.
