I tutor English language to children between the ages of 7 and 12. I also tutor adults

I have had a wonderful and a worthwhile experience of tutoring kids. I know first hand the challenges children undergo when learning English language especially when its their second language. I have taught between the ages of 7 and 12 and from my experience its quite rewarding to treat every child uniquely according thier level of understanding and temperament. A trick that has always worked for me was to encourage them to express themselves verbally in English language, I get to correct their mistake but not before a thumbs up. Teaching kids have taught me patience, tolerance, the importance of being a good listener and also paying attention to details.
