Asim Abbas received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Islamia University Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2015. He completed a Master's in Computer Science and Engineering from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, in 2020. He worked as a visiting researcher at Halmstad University, Sweden, in 2020. He has also worked as a research scholar at St. Johns University, Queens Campus, New York, USA, from 2021 to 2023 and the leading National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded the project(Award Abstract\#2101350). Where he focused on biomedical semantic content authoring and structured data publishing, biomedical content semantic enrichment in a socio-technical environment while keeping the original content created in the loop. Currently, he is working as a PhD scholar in the School of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham. He has two years of professional experience in the software industry as a software engineer. Further, his research interests included natural language processing, clinical NLP, semantic web, health informatics, and information retrieval and extraction.
