Maths Tutor Providing Lessons To All Ages

I am a graduate from the University of Warwick and Birmingham City University with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. I have 2 years of experience as a teacher and have tutored students from 11 plus to A-Level standards. My approach is friendly with a focus on a science based approach. I follow a three step approach based on Rosenshine's principles of instruction with focus on repeated practice and scaffolding. I have experience with a range of students from SENDCo Primary Students to high attaining A Level students and adapt my approach as necessary. Each and every student is different, so we’ll have an ongoing discussion about what your child particularly needs to focus on — that way they can most effectively target their efforts for maximum results. I firmly believe that education is about drawing out a student’s own capabilities and raising their confidence in themselves (rather than somehow depositing ready-made ‘knowledge’ into their mind).
