Maths Tutor - GCSE, A Level, Undergraduate Level

Advert description
I am a third-year mathematics student at the University of Warwick pursuing an MMath degree. As a current student, I understand the challenges you face in studying maths and know how to overcome them. Whether you prefer learning in English or Cantonese, I am here to help.

Having achieved 3 A*s in International A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, I can support you with GCSE and A Level mathematics. I also achieved over 80% in both my first and second years at university; I achieved over 90% in most analysis-related modules (Analysis III (Integrals): 96; Multivariable Calculus: 94; PDE: 95) and 96 in Linear Algebra. If you're a first- or second-year university maths student, I can assist with analysis-related modules and linear algebra.

Our lessons would be online. They could be 1-1 or a small group teaching based on demand. Since both you and I are still students, our lessons can be relaxed and engaging, far from the intimidating classroom setting. I regularly use online resources like YouTube, Stack Exchange, and GeoGebra to make learning intuitive and enjoyable.

2. Problem-Solving Guidance: I offer step-by-step explanations on how to solve problems that students find challenging. This includes breaking down each step to ensure a thorough understanding of the process and the underlying principles.

Dynamics:
- Interactive and Relaxed: My lessons are interactive and designed to be relaxed, creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel at ease to ask questions and express their difficulties. I encourage active participation and ensure that each session is engaging and tailored to the student’s pace and learning style.

Experience:
- I obtained three A* grades in International A Levels for Maths, Further Maths, and Physics.
- I obtained an 83.7% in Year 1 and 85.4% in Year 2 at the University of Warwick, achieving 96 in Analysis III (advanced integral calculus), 96 in Linear Algebra, 95 in Partial Differential Equations etc.
- I frequently assisted my schoolmates, from high school to university, in understanding class content, particularly in areas they found difficult, from GCSE level calculus to undergraduate level mathematical analysis. This experience has honed my ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt my teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. I have been experimenting with using ChatGPT to explain mathematical concepts and generate examples, which can be highly beneficial for your future studies.
