Advert description
I am currently doing a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and have had previous experience in teaching the subject to both University students and younger.
As for teaching University Students, I was a part of the PAL (Peer Assisted Learning) Leader Scheme in which I worked alongside the Learning Development Centre (LDC). My role as a PAL Leader involved helping peers understand the module's content and preparing additional questions to give them extra practice to keep them on top of their modules. My seven-month involvement as a PAL Leader developed my soft and hard skills. I saw significant progress in my soft skills, mainly communication and time management.
I was involved in teaching younger students when I voluntarily tutored at an orphanage for six months which involved me teaching English to students between the ages of 6-10 years. This experience enhanced my understanding of the variety of caliber when it comes to students, thus improving and assisting my ways of approaching each student appropriately. This involvement was helpful in taking up my recent role as a PAL Leader, giving me the background in teaching students.
