I am currently studying BSc Mathematics degree at Aston University. I studied maths and further maths in A-Level and have enjoyed learning mathematics pretty much my whole academic life. While my experience may be limited, I have been informally tutoring my younger brother for the past few years and I have been praised for my ability to explain complex concepts in a way that is easy for him to understand. I understand that everyone learns a different way to which I can adapt to.

As a math tutor, I am dedicated to helping my students succeed and achieve their goals. I understand that math can be challenging for some students, and I am committed to making it accessible and understandable for everyone. I strive to create a positive and encouraging learning environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their concerns.

I believe that having a deep understanding of the material is crucial in order to effectively teach it. I have a solid grasp of the subject matter and I am able to break it down into manageable chunks, making it easier for my students to understand and retain the information. I am also able to identify and address any misconceptions or difficulties that my students may have, ensuring that they are on the right track.
In addition to teaching and examples, I often use visual aids such as graphs and diagrams to help my students understand the material since this allows students to apply what they have learned in a practical context.

I understand that each student learns differently, which is why I am flexible in my teaching style and adapt my approach to suit the needs of each individual student. Homework will be given out, which I wish to be completed within a timeframe so that the student stays on top of the game. I also use formative assessments regularly, to track my students' progress and make sure they are understanding the material.

In conclusion, as a math tutor, I am passionate about helping my students succeed in math and I believe that my deep understanding of the material, patience, ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable way, and my use of interactivity and formative assessment, will make me a successful tutor.
