english and history tutor who can provide lessons and teach important skills to gcse students

I have a grade 9 in both English Literature and English Language, along with a Grade 8 in History. I use my own past materials to teach, and also present ones, as I am currently studying all three subjects as A-Levels. I focus on honing in on skills that will be needed in exams, but also ones that are not necessarily required yet will definitely boost marks. I set goals and check up on progress through regular tests and essays. I believe in a patient and adaptive approach, as I understand that not all students learn the same way; essentially, it is just as important for me to learn from my students as it is or them to learn from me.
