Advert description
Hi, my name is Aliya and I am 27 years old. I am a graduate from Birmingham City University and have graduated with a First-class degree in Information Communication and Technology BSc (Hons) and have then continued to study and worked towards a PGCE with QTS in Computer Science. I have completed my NQT as a teacher of ICT and Computer Science. I have a couple years experience teaching a diverse range of schools so differentiation is one of my strengths.
I have undertaken training specialising in SEN needs and how to deal with the different needs of students whether that be in a school or online tutoring, I would be able to apply this knowledge to the role of a tutor and make adjustments when required.
I have a huge interest in programming especially using Python. As a young programmer I understand how hard programming can be to grasp at first therefore I try to make my lessons as engaging and fun as possible! I have also been able to experiment with what teaching styles work best for different students and have been able to gather a variety of resources which suit my teaching style.
What can you expect from a lesson with me? With programming it’s important to have hands on experience, so I like to ensure my students spend more time testing and trialing code and learning from their syntax errors rather than throwing a load of commands at them and expecting them to memorise them.
I am greatly looking forward to introducing python to people who love programming and hope to inspire you to continue your studies within the subject.
