Computer Science modules for HE/FE Students

I hold a PhD in Computer Science with over 10 years of teaching experience. I have taught a number of modules during my academic career including Programming, Foundations of Cyber Security, Foundations of Computing, and Computer Networks. I have always received good feedback from students.
My teaching philosophy is based on a strong belief in student engagement. My responsibility is to get students engaged in a way that would enable them to participate in learning. Effective teaching requires regular two-way interaction between students and teacher. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to not only provide students with information but also to care about their progress. I often try to relate what I teach with students’ personal experiences and their future goals. In addition to encouraging students to ask questions, I sometimes stimulate the engagement by asking students some questions of my own. For example, I would often ask a student what they think of the topic under discussion or whether they have had any personal experiences related to the current topic.
