English Tutor teaches students of all ages

English is the one subject that we should all master to be successful in any field of work.
I enjoy grammar but I know many do not feel that way. With this in mind, I have developed a targeted teaching approach to make learning English concepts fun.

I am a visual learner; preferring charts and videos to understand concepts. However, I have learned over the years that students are all different so I use a combination of visual, auditory and written methods to present concepts. After a few sessions with my students we are usually able to determine the methods that work best for that student, allowing me to tweak my teaching style to better suit you.

I focus on a number of areas, aimed at helping you to read and write at the level appropriate for your age and beyond. I have a flexible schedule and am usually available at your convenience. Occasionally however, it may be necessary to assign independent work to you that you would submit during our next session. This method allows us to maximize our time together.

I am a very hands-on tutor and continuously develop lesson plans that allow us to work side-by-side initially. Then, I gradually allow you to work more independently as you grasp concepts and become more confident with what you have learned. Slow readers are my specialty. I enjoy helping children of all ages to learn how to sound letters properly so that they can discover new words all on their own.
