Advert description
When I teach, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where students feel comfortable to take risks and explore their learning. I believe that trust is the foundation of any effective teaching relationship, so from the start, I aim to listen carefully to each student’s needs, goals, and challenges. Understanding where they are and where they want to go allows me to tailor my approach and ensure that every lesson is relevant and engaging.
My teaching style is student-centered, meaning I focus on the individual. I use a variety of techniques to cater to different learning styles—whether through interactive activities, discussions, personalized feedback, or multimedia resources. I believe that learning English is not just about grammar rules or vocabulary; it’s about building confidence to express oneself clearly and effectively, in both written and spoken forms.
For example, if a student wants to improve their writing skills, we’ll start by exploring their current strengths and areas for growth. We’ll work together to identify the types of writing they want to improve—be it essays, professional emails, or creative writing—and then break it down into manageable steps: planning, drafting, revising, and polishing. Along the way, I’ll provide guidance on structure, tone, and language use, but I’ll also encourage them to find their unique voice. Writing should feel like a tool for self-expression, not just a task to complete.
In terms of speaking and listening, I encourage real-world practice. I might set up conversations or role-plays that reflect situations they might encounter, from job interviews to casual conversations. This makes the learning process more relevant and boosts their confidence in applying English in different contexts.
I also emphasize the importance of regular practice and reflection. Progress doesn’t happen overnight, so I’ll help students set realistic, achievable goals and celebrate their successes, no matter how small. By providing constructive feedback and helping students build on their own insights, I aim to create an environment where they not only learn English but also develop a growth mindset that will serve them in all areas of life.
Ultimately, I’m here to guide, support, and empower my students to reach their full potential in English.
