Advert description
During my time as a Software Engineering Intern at Red Hat, I had the privilege of working with cutting-edge technologies such as Kubernetes and RPMOstree, as well as programming languages like Rust. I actively participated in the upstream community, contributing to new development work, bug fixes, tests, and release automation. Additionally, I played a role in the development, operation, and maintenance of next-generation build systems. These experiences have not only honed my technical abilities but also taught me how to effectively collaborate within a large team and make valuable contributions.
Furthermore, I had the opportunity to contribute to the ChRIS Research Integration Service, an open-source web-based medical image platform. In collaboration with prestigious institutions such as Boston Children's Hospital, Boston University, and Red Hat, I helped port their documentation to Antora and developed a Python plugin for the platform. These experiences have given me insights into the practical application of programming skills in real-world contexts.
In my free time, I have also pursued personal projects that demonstrate my expertise and passion for programming. I developed a social media start-up called , a user-friendly MVC application where individuals can ask anonymous questions and provide constructive criticism. Through this project, I gained valuable experience with SQL, databases, HTML5, CSS3 with Bootstrap, and backend development using PHP and PhpMyAdmin. Currently, the platform boasts an active user base of 50 individuals.
My academic journey at University College Dublin has equipped me with a strong foundation in programming, artificial intelligence, data structures, algorithms, and databases. I have excelled in courses such as Databases and Information Systems, as well as Unix Programming. Moreover, my GitHub portfolio, which can be found at , showcases numerous projects that align closely with the skills and knowledge required for this tutoring position.
Notably, I have extensive experience programming in Java and using Android Studio. I created an Android application called CarHub, designed to provide users with information on the latest cars in a user-friendly manner. Additionally, I worked collaboratively with a team at UCD to implement a graphical version of the Risk board game using Java Sw
