I am a creative English & primary tutor who loves seeing my students' confidence develop.

Dynamic and responsive, I support my pupils to develop their confidence and skills by tailoring our lessons to their specific needs. By building positive and supportive relationships, I quickly get to know every individual’s needs. As a qualified primary school teacher currently working as an assistant headteacher, I am well adept at adapting my lessons to ensure children are able to make sustained, accelerated progress. I am passionate about ensuring all children feel positive and confident in their learning. I have worked in the state sector for the past seven years and have extensive experience of teaching to KS2 SATs. With a specialism in reading and writing, I have supported children in every stage of their reading development - from learning initial sounds and developing comprehension to analysing texts at GCSE level. I have extensive experience of teaching children with additional learning needs and I am able to scaffold tasks to ensure children make age expected progress. Having taught children with English as an additional language, I am also informed on the most effective strategies to support all learners. Above all, I pride myself on creating a warm, positive and motivating learning environment which provides pupils with the foundation to flourish as their learning journey develops.
