Advert description
I am an extremely confident and outgoing figure, who is passionate about educating young people. I was born and raised in Damascus, Syria, have lived in the UAE previously for 12 years, and I am fluent in Syrian, Egyptian, Iraqi, Lebanese, and Fusha (Modern Standard Arabic) dialects, in writing, reading, and speaking.
I have raised 4 children, and taught all of them to achieve incredible grades in GCSE and A-Level Arabic. I have been working in education and childcare for the past seven years in the UK, and therefore, I am trained to have safeguarding and paediatric first aid skills.I have a DBS, but it is linked to the school of which I currently am employed at, and I am willing to receive one if I got this job. Before COVID-19, I worked as an Arabic teacher in an independent Arabic school run by me and my colleague. The aim of our Arabic school was to educate children born here, who were either not native, or were native Arabic speakers, but had lost the ability to speak the language after living in the UK. In addition to this, I have experience in tutoring my neighbours' children.
I have a degree in psychology, in which I was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree. I updated my Maths and English GCSE awards, which I previously completed as O-Levels in Syria, receiving a grade 4 pass in both.
