Advert description
I conducted a comprehensive three-year research study on the topics of emotional intelligence.
I have completed courses in Psychology of Emotions from Cambridge University, as well as Child Psychology from Oxford University. In addition, I have also completed courses in Understanding Mental Health, Positive Behaviour Support for Young People, Supporting Emotional Regulation in Children.
I employ the use of drama because it primarily revolves around the exploration and portrayal of human emotions. Stories serve the purpose of identifying and illustrating various emotions, as well as demonstrating the circumstances in which these emotions arise. Additionally, stories provide insight into the impact that specific emotions have on our actions and behaviours. They are text books of emotional intelligence.
By engaging in the act of reading, discussing, and performing them, we actively and practically acquire knowledge and understanding of them. We also gain knowledge about our own selves. Because every story children encounter, whether through reading or visual media, imparts a message about their own identity, often revealing aspects that may have previously gone unnoticed.
Performing is a form of active learning. In order to authentically portray one's character, it is imperative to possess a deep comprehension of it and to undergo a thorough exploration of one's own psychology.
Creative drama offers a comprehensive framework that engages participants fully and creates scenarios through the enactment of narrative material, poetry, or role-play. This allows participants to apply and experience emotional decision-making processes.
