I have enjoyed teaching a wide range of cultures and ability levels whilst working with International House Bristol. B1-C2 level.

Having completed my TEFL training with International House, I follow the same teaching philosophy as them, being that students learn best through context. The general model for language I will use when teaching classes, particularly junior students, is to give example sentences containing target language, allow students to discuss and make educated guesses on the possible meanings of target language, based on the context of the sentence. Following this, I will explain the full meaning myself, concept check students, and then provide them with sentence prompts, which they use in groups to complete practice of the language. Following practice, we will come back together as a class, with groups volunteering their sentences, and we will then complete class error correction.
