Advert description
Hello :) I am a computer science student at the University of Manchester. I took A level maths, further maths and physics, achieving A*s in all.
Having spent seven years at secondary school, I recognise the skills and teaching methods of effective teachers. I incorporate these expertise in my own tutoring practices.
In sixth form, I found myself stepping in where teachers fell short. I helped many of my classmates out by revising physics content and teaching them in a classroom during lunch. I received good feedback from my fellow peers!
In my one-hour lessons, I explain concepts clearly and concisely, referring to real-world examples to help students relate to the material. I find this is the best way for students to learn and understand ideas, and I tailor my teaching to suit the student's individual learning style. I also provide personalised cheat sheets.
Lessons are structured to include:
- Focused teaching on the current topic;
- Worked examples and guided practice;
- A set of questions for students to work on in their own time to reinforce learning. Questions that students struggle on, I go through in a future session.
Whether you’re a GCSE or A-Level Maths student, I’ll work with you to build confidence and help you reach your target grade :)
