Enthusiastic, fun but effective Maths tutor

I am a qualified maths secondary teacher. Currently working in a secondary school in london, this means my knowledge is current. I currently mark papers for Edexcel so am up to date with exam skills and requirements. I did a Mathematics degree at Swansea University and have been tutoring now for 10 years; all ages from primary school to A-level. My teaching degree, PGCE is from UCL, which is number one for teaching in the world.

I have very adaptable teaching methods and suit my lessons and methods to fit each students needs and adapt on the spot to how they learn. My experience ranges from students with SEND needs to highly gifted individuals who constantly need to be pushed and strive for the top grades. I have exceptional subject knowledge that I am capable of teaching a student. I excel in exam practice, alongside teaching topics and skills. I teach for understanding, ensuring lasting memory of a topic, creating links between topics for students.

Building confidence is a big part of teaching students, this is along with growing a love for maths. I have mastered that skill and have the ability to make students love maths. Tutoring is a passion of mine, I really thrive knowing I have helped someone with their education, getting that lightbulb moment. I’m very flexible and happy to answer any questions.
