Mrs. Zavala's English Learners

I am currently a Special Education Teacher in a suburb of Austin, Texas. I teach a class of 9 students who have varying disabilities including autism, intellectual disabilities, down syndrome, as well as speech impairments. My students are held to high expectations because I know the work they are capable of producing. My lessons are engaging, rigorous, and differentiated. We have fun in our classroom. We learn about their interests and use real life objects and examples in our education.
