Subject Matter Expertise: As a teacher, I have developed in depth and understanding of food and nutrition, management in living and clothing and textiles which I have capacity to education to effectively deliver good content and subject matter to student Communication Skills : I have good communication skills the ability to clearly and concisely deliver to students effectively, colleagues and parents. I also have developed active listening skills and learn to adapt communication style to different audiences especially my students who speaks fast, slowly and students with speech deliver patience for them when they are speaking. Pedagogical Skills: I have strong pedagogical skills in teaching in various lessons as a home economics teacher the program is practical oriented, I use different assesment techniques, such as demonstration examples preparation of cake , going through the step by step procedure with my students, classroom management skills giving students tasks when they are disturbing to make the class room silent. Some of these task are role play , classroom assessment. Grouping students in 6 groups and posing a question for each group for them to debate on and present their findings to the class by projecting these techniques engages students and facilitate effective learning. Adaptability and flexibility: As a teacher I learn to adapt to teaching methods to meet the diverse needs to students such as students with ear problem.I speak a bit loud to their hearing , students with learning style such as vital learning , students with learning style such as visual learning using teaching with teaching learning materials as the student picture the diagram or images they get the imprint in their mind which they process it well . Auditory Learning: Some students learn best when they hear the information rather seeing them . This learning is called aural learning students who fell under the category process the course lesson when present to them vocally .
