A friendly, patient individual with a bright personality, I have five year experience in tutoring English (Nat 5 - Adv Higher).

Building confidence is half the battle! I have a relaxed, friendly and supportive approach to tutoring, inviting questions and discussions to help my students enjoy learning. I have both a Master of Arts in English and a Master of Letters in English Literary Studies, with extensive experience both studying and teaching English, Scottish, Irish and American literature. I also attained a Distinction qualification in Literature, Science and Medicine. As a tutor I teach detailed analyses of various texts including prose, poetry, drama and film, as well as assisting with and proofreading both creative and analytical folio pieces, and assisting with exam preparation.
