Advert description
I achieved a 9 at GCSE maths, earning 226/240 possible marks, and am predicted an A* in A-Level maths, as well as being predicted an A in Further Maths, a subject I have decided to study and teach myself independently, with offers from Edinburgh and Manchester Universities for Mechanical Engineering, with other choices pending. I have a passion for teaching maths and have regularly aided my peers and younger students in overcoming challenges and weaknesses in their education, using fun and engaging ways for students to learn and grow. I was also predicted an A* in Physics and English Literature, achieving this through my love for working in groups and with other motivated students. In school, I have mentored younger students who were struggling to adjust to secondary school, and delivered assemblies to groups of students about both academic and extracurricular subjects, such as my trip to Lourdes with the Society of our Lady of Lourdes, a charity who aid disabled and faithful people who would like to complete the pilgrimage to Lourdes, and my work with 2nd Chailey Scouts, a volunteer group that help severely disabled teens take part in activities their families would have thought were impossible.
If I was to teach students Maths, my lessons would be tailored to their needs and aimed towards maximising progress in school, as someone who has recently taken these exams I know what to look for and how to improve, moving up grades to reach their full potential.
