I have been in the Primary Sector for 8 years but have been teaching for just over a year! My key experience has been in Key Stage 2, mainly in Year 6. I taught and supported children through their SATs this year and after the two years of the pandemic it proved to be a little tricky! I provided extra intervention for children who needed to learn at a slower and more intense pace. All learning was based on the children's ability and their preference of what they needed support with!

My favoured key areas of teaching is Maths and Grammar. Tuition can be provided for all areas of the curriculum and different approaches can be explored depending on how the individual is currently taught.

I use the best approach that suits each individual child. My lessons are creative to gain a better understanding - who wants a lesson that's boring and harder to understand! My lessons are provided through PowerPoint presentation as its a creative approach to teaching. All lessons are created and planned around the individuals needs and requests. I provide learning at each individuals pace and ensure that they've gained a deep understanding before moving on to the next area of need.

My approach is to build confidence and ensure a positive attitude towards learning is gained. I help students to believe in themselves and find their own way of learning. From this aspect, children will find their own way of developing their own skills to use on their every day learning.
