I am a history tutor. I have had a lifelong love of the subject and focused on it throughout my academic life. In 2016 I received an A* (8/9 in the new system) in my history GCSE. I went on to study history at A-level where, in 2018 I again received an A*. Earlier this year I completed my degree in history, receiving a First from the University of Sunderland.

Throughout my time studying history I have had a focus on ‘modern’ British history, the 1900s onwards. However, I have also gained a good knowledge of other subject areas. Including but not limited to, Germany from the 1900s onwards, the life of Bede, and Britain in the early modern period ( s).
I have specific knowledge of women’s history in Britain and the USA, and the history of men’s mental health.
I am happy to help with content as specified above, however I am also happy to tutor students in exam and revision techniques.
I have much experience with essays, source analyses, presentations, and research projects, and thus would be well equipped to advise on any.
I have many revision techniques targeted towards more visual learners which I have often found more helpful than traditional methods of revision.
If relevant, for A level students I am happy to help with citation as I know this can initially be difficult for students to become familiar with.
All in all, I am willing to help history students at any level, and in any way I can. I hope to hear from you soon!
