I meet students where they are at by creating a safe and collaborative learning space. I strive to ground my tutoring sessions in compassion and support. I believe the best learning is done collaboratively, and try to adhere my tutoring sessions to this principle. I work hard to make my tutoring sessions engaging, by creating worksheets for students to complete and giving students plenty of space to ask questions and process their learning. Getting creative with strategies for retention is a key aspect of my educational strategies. I am very open to student direction and feedback, and if a student feels that their lessons could be better catered to their needs, I endeavour to shift my teaching tactics. I have worked with students as young as 4, and up to the age of 13. Furthermore, I have published my writing academically and outside of academia, so am well-equipped to support students with grammar, essay-writing and general English lessons. I can also support with university applications, or any general study or test-taking preparation skills. I maintained a 3.8 GPA throughout my Bachelor's degree, and have a 3.93 at the moment in my Master's degree, of which I am halfway finished. I truly believe that embracing the joys of education makes our world a better place!
