My various experiences working in Primary schools has thoroughly developed my skills in various aspects across the teaching field to an extent that I am extremely passionate in
taking responsibility when it comes to ensuring that children receive a nurturing and
encouraging environment when learning. During my time at Moorcroft special school I was
given an immense responsibility to manage the children's behaviour during lunch and break
times which meant was heavily endorsed in ensuring their safety at all times, supervising
all their activities throughout my duty. Given the children at the school, I was often led to
prevent and manage their at times violent and also atypical behaviour, having to manage it
correctly so that no child is put at danger. This involved having to be extensively patient
to
with every child, as well as actively engaging in their activities, as a way of keeping them

intrigued with regular, and entertaining but also safe things to do, which reinforced my
responsibility of keeping all of them within a safe, and also friendly environment. Therefore
through this experience, I was able to to. develop such skills of patience as well as finding
effective methods of managing a lot of children. in spite of outgoing behaviour. I was able to
further put these skills into experience when fulflling a playground duty at Hounslow
primary school, where having already previously understood the potential situations that
could arise at a developed level, I therefore was aware of any problems. This involved
moments where children insisted on playing indoors unsupervised, however my patience
and adamancy in the rules which I knew would protect them, meant I was able to tackle
hese insists and keep them happily engaging with each other outdoors.
To extend, I have also been given the wonderful opportunity to tutor an autistic child who
-
knew held massive potential. Under my continuous encouragement and positivity, this child
went from using pictures to tell a story , to being able to write full sentences of a story.

Consequently his potential was made present to me through these improvements, meaning
was also happily able to reward him which meant he became eager and excited to make
more improvements in anticipation of more rewards. Currently I do 1 to 1 tuition for all
primary school children, which is where I am able to develop a range of skills in teaching

such as the ability of effectively planning a lesson which suits the students needs and

ensure consistent improvement. This ranges from mini tests and helping each student
understand a topic with in depth detail, allowing them to feel prepared when subsequently
approaching dificult questions. Overall, these multiple work placements mean I have
developed and will inevitably continue to to develop numerous skills needed in this field so
that my responsibilities are fulfilled to the utmost of my ability.
