I prefer to use a live notebook system from Microsoft Office called OneNote, which allows me to see what my student is writing in real time. Everything will be shared under one organised folder, so the student can easily come back and easily check past notes/questions. But if my student does not have a device to write down on, then the second best thing is to send pictures of work on paper to me....

Before lessons, I always ask what the student plans to focus on. I am flexible with my lessons, so you can ask for an explanation to a topic, solving homework, or perhaps prepare for a test coming up next week. Always make sure to inform me the day prior to my lesson.
During lessons, I always give a brief explanation to the topic before jumping into the objective of the lesson. But before anything else the top priority is the student's understanding of the topic, because otherwise they would not be able to move forward and make progress.
As mentioned, I have experience teaching children from Primary to GCSEs. But most of my experience is centered around primary and secondary students. As the eldest daughter, I grew up teaching my brother often and this became the start of my tutoring journey. Aside from tutoring mathematics, I also became a part time hip-hop teacher for primary children. This helped me grow my patience and my understanding on how to approach children of different age ranges. Overall I hope that my students engage well and are dedicated to improve themselves.
