I have over 21 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language. My students come from different backgrounds and ages and have different needs. I cater my lessons according to their needs taking into consideration their learning style and their goals. I have taught students from pre-beginner to advanced and Business English. I have experience training teachers and have constantly received great feedback from both students and teachers alike. I have experience preparing students for exams and have a track record of 100% achievement in all skills; Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing. I start my lessons with an individual scheme of learning based on the student’s initial and diagnostic assessments. I identify their needs abs plan my lessons accordingly. I assess the student’s progress and provide them with constructive feedback and set SMART targets which are regularly reviewed with the student. I conduct regular tests to check progress and adapt the scheme of learning if needed. I use different methods for assessment and give students feedback on ways to improve. I also give students homework which is marked and handed back within one week, this will include clear and detailed feedback and the next steps that are needed to make progress. In my lessons, I integrate all necessary skills such as wider skills, study skills, IT skills and also employability skills which prepare and equip the students with the right skills for future employment. I have helped students taught students both face to face and online and helped them achieve both their short and long term goals.
