I always begin a lesson by reviewing something that you already know. This could be part of the previous lesson or an aspect you would have covered in school. Then I will introduce the learning of the session following a My Turn / Our Turn / Your Turn approach. This allows me to introduce the learning while building your confidence and knowledge on how to solve and complete the activity. You will...
I always begin a lesson by reviewing something that you already know. This could be part of the previous lesson or an aspect you would have covered in school. Then I will introduce the learning of the session following a My Turn / Our Turn / Your Turn approach. This allows me to introduce the learning while building your confidence and knowledge on how to solve and complete the activity. You will then complete the activity independently using what we have worked on together. We will them review the activity together. During the session I will encourage a 'brain break' that will allow you to refocus and ensure a smooth completion of the session. I usually end the session with an education game or with a story we can enjoy together.
