I personally mould each lesson to each student’s capabilities, i am patient and go slow if needed. I charge much less than most private tutors as i know getting a tutor can be difficult. in an hour and a half session the lessons will be formatted as follows.

10 minutes- recap previous session (if it is you’re first session, we will spend this time on introductions and getting to know your strengths and weaknesses)
10 minutes- read poem
5 minutes- highlight any phrases or words you’re unsure of
10 minutes- go over and explain anything previously highlighted
15 minutes- context
20 minutes- analyse and pick apart
20 minutes- mock essay

this lessons structure has proved to be fool proof and effective in my own and many others experience. Many of the students i have tutored before have gotten 7’s and above in their exams by following it. Your child will be expected to take notes during the lesson to refer back to in later sessions.

my experience consists of tutoring over 20 GCSE students into getting grade 7s and above in their final exams. If your child is unable to attend a session, it may be that we had an extra 30 minutes on to the session following to ensure that they are getting the most out of their tutoring. I am also capable of tutoring children for 11+ exams and SATS, if need be.
