Zara in a nutshell
We start the lesson with 10mins recap of previous session, where I conduct some quizzes or skim through material, which ever one is suitable at that time.
We then spend the next 40mins on the main topic of our discussion for the day, where I will teach you how to carry out calculations and give you a ground level understanding of the topic. We will then do a couple of practice questions and then...
We will then do a couple of practice questions and then I will ask you to do some questions on your own so I can check your understanding, on whether we need to go over it again or not in the next session.

In the last 10 mins; we will decide what we will be doing next session, as by now I will have decided if we need more practice on current topic, and ask if there is any particular area or question you would like to discuss, or homework you need help with. If there are any spare minutes left, we will do a quick quiz of current topic we just studied.

Upon your request, I can also track your progress every session and give you feedback when necessary.
Alongside maths I have interest in various other subject areas which I often read about or research on. Here is an example of application of my knowledge.
I have a fair bit of experience with a previous student who felt they were absolutely incapable of maths, that maths was their number 1 enemy, but my act of integrating my knowledge of psychology into our maths lessons by teaching maths to my student in a certain way, not only made them feel better about maths, their complete view on maths switched, and they felt much more confidant and able, and even started to solve questions on their own without my 100% guidance.
From this I realized that as a tutor not only do I need to help my students with maths, but I also need to help them change their mindset towards the positive and the better; the growth mindset. Which is the actual goal.
My student also created a strong bond with myself due to this reason.
