My lessons are structured based on you and your personality. Sometimes, students require a lot more visual aid. Others, a more traditional method of teaching. Depending on your needs, I’ll ensure all resources are in place, this includes any SEN needs (dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, Autism etc) I have relevant qualifications in SEND and publish/work with EHCPs should you need specific support/provisions in place. I am well seasoned around pupils who have EBD, and incorporate grounding techniques throughout the sessions should you feel you require this. I also am trained in Mental Health and Wellbeing in Education so I understand if you have anxieties, worries or just need a your sessions bespoke to your requirements. I believe in having honest conversations and what we can build/work towards for ultimate success.
I strive for my lessons to always be enjoyable. Having a love for learning is half of the battle. And whilst that isn’t something we all naturally have, I endeavour for my lessons to always be memorable and easy going.
I currently am Head of School for an Independent Secondary Institute. My specialism is Secondary English however I am also Primary trained so am able to teach across all the key stages of the national curriculum. I also offer sessions for EAL students.
