I have an A-level in Law and am also pursuing a degree within the field of law. Through this I have developed a deep understanding of the legal system and also discovered key skills that make the process of studying this subject easier. I will offer students the opportunity to learn the law and also understand how to apply it. They will learn structures which help them recall the law effectively. Alongside that they will complete essay questions that require them to state the law, give case examples, and then apply the law to scenarios.

This will give students the excellent ability to carry out this skill in their exams whilst also understanding what they are being taught. Understanding what is being taught is vital for the success of a student. Through the memorisation of structures and actively carrying out problem scenarios, the law will naturally embed into the students mind allowing them to successfully recall it when completing their exams.

I myself have tutored others and have seen the positive impact that completing questions has on the students. It gives them the ability to think analytically and apply this within their work. This deepens their understanding of the subject allowing them to excel in it further.

To conclude, my prior knowledge has largely benefitted me as I, still being a current law student, am able to actively relate with the student and ensure their needs are being met. I will try my best to help them achieve the best grade.
