My Background:
I am currently a student of Physics offering lessons in A-Level and GCSE level mathematics and physics. I have specific experience with the AQA exam boards but working with other exam boards such as Edexcel and OCR are also fine.

As a student of Physics, I have been working intimately alongside mathematics for several years and am thus very familiar with the skills it takes to become a good mathematician. These skills helped me achieve A*'s in Physics and Mathematics at A-Level, as well as 8 A*-A grades at GCSE.

Also, as a student myself who was not so long ago sitting my GCSE's and A-levels, the skills and study habits I used are still intimately familiar to me. From this I can relay said effective methods of learning that have allowed me to excel in maths and physics to a wide variety of students as a tutor.


For Prospective Students:
The student should come prepared with a clear understanding of their areas of struggle and specific concepts they are having difficulty with. This allows me to tailor the lesson to the student's needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

The lesson can then proceed in the way the student finds most productive for their learning. This may involve:

1. Practicing more problems similar to the ones the student is struggling with to reinforce core skills.
2. A detailed, step-by-step explanation from me using my whiteboard and textbooks to solidify the student's understanding of the fundamental concepts.

Lessons are informal, allowing the student to interject at any point for clarification or to explore a concept further. This back-and-forth dialogue is valuable for ensuring true comprehension.
Having access to a whiteboard and curated textbooks gives me flexible tools to adapt the lesson to the student's needs.

My goal is to create a personalized, student-centred approach that empowers the student to take an active role in their own progress and development. I am currently only available for online lessons.
