My name is Zainab and I am currently studying Maths with Economics at university. I have spent a couple months teaching to younger students and helping them improve their confidence and being able to solve different kinds of problems. Maths can be a challenge as it requires higher thinking and reasoning but I am confident that with my extra help, we can achieve to master trickier problems and make a positive difference in their academic study. I worked in a school for 2 weeks helping both students and teachers. I helped to plan and organise lessons so that students can work to the best of their ability. I took part in group activities helping other students to gain confidence and resilience skills.

My lesson plan would be structured and based upon what my student may need some extra help on - whether this is a specific topic or homework help. It would be an hour long. For the first 5 - 10 mins, I would do a recap on what we covered during the last lesson and for the next 30-40 mins, I would target areas that my student may need some extra help and give them problems to solve so that by the end they would become more confident in their maths skills. During the last 5-10 mins, I would do an overview of what we have covered during the hour and give them homework.

Throughout my studies, maths has been my favourite subject and I am looking forward to teaching younger students!
