I have been tutoring since I was in sixth form, so I am familiar with the content to teach maths. Since I was a student myself not too long ago, I am able to teach in a way where I am able to relate to students and suggest methods and techniques to help understand and really grasp a topic in maths. I am able to provide various lessons in a way where students of any level are able to follow along and understand the concepts of maths.

If it is your first lesson with me, I will begin with having a quick chat about how a student feels about maths, whether they enjoy it or not and why, what topics they think they are good at, what topics they feel like they need to improve and then I start assessing what level I think the student may be at so that I can to decide what topics need to be covered, how much of the topic needs to be covered and in what order the topics will be covered.

From then on, lessons will consist of working through questions from topics I planned to cover, covering the basics of the topic, to the most difficult level of the topic depending on what year the student is in and depending on how much the student already knows. There will be tests every couple of weeks or after covering an entire topic to make sure the student is able to recall what they have previously learnt.
