Hi there!
- I am mostly tutoring Primary students, who are doing SATS.
- as my student, you are likely to experience a combination of learning through slideshows, past papers, worksheets and much more!
- we will be going through a process called block learning; each topic will be learnt separately, rather than incorporating diffrent topics all together. Then once completed, An End of unit test will be completed.
- worksheets/past papers are likely to be done to ensure that knowledge is preserved; wanting to make sure that your child/ guardian passes SATS.
- the first lesson would start as a introduction; wanting to ease the student in the lessons. Building rapport is something I strongly believe, which is why this lesson will be getting know each other, but fear not, also doing learning. This helps me gauge out, where to begin my lesssons and it shows how much your child/guardian knows so far.
- each lesson will start with a ‘show you know!’, e.g “what are the differences between adjectives and nouns?” Once again, this helps the student ease into the lesson, not forcing them straight into the content.
- after the ‘show you know!’, I would first teach, whatever topic I’m doing, have them do some questions for me to make sure they understand. I’d go over what they got right and what they got wrong. Once completed the questions; additional homework may be given, if needed.
- I’m a flexible individual, so I don’t mind doing online or face to face with my tutee.
