Students are also given plenty of material to work with or use. Most of these materials are created by me and therefore when using them, students are able to build on them or add their own work.
- Complete revision of texts including theme and character analysis
- Entire poem anthology collection analysis
- PEA paragraph exemplars and practise
- Revision materials
- Essay plans ready for students to take into exams
- Plenty of exam practise in every lesson
- English language past exam papers
- How to answer creative and persuasive writing questions
- Perfect timing and completion of the exams ready for any mocks or real papers
Example of lesson structure:
- After getting to know the student in the first lesson we start off with the weak points and discuss what particular areas the student would like to work on
- Usually if it is a lesson on Literature we start with an overview to reinforce understanding of the novel, play or text
- We then usually move on to paragraph/ structure practise and depending on the student this may take a few lessons to grasp.
- From there lessons are usually catered to what the student needs to learn and fill in any gaps in their knowledge
