I typically use PowerPoint presentations with interactive elements embedded into the lessons, to ensure that students can take efficient notes and put into practice what they've learnt. Whilst also preparing students to be able to communicate naturally with English speakers and successfully engage with them comfortably. By creating an understanding of where each student is on their learning journey, I will create a weekly plan tailored to fit their own knowledge and understanding of English, making sure that each individual knows exactly what to expect in the coming weeks, and in doing so this will ensure they are progressing sufficiently. Each month will entail a meeting to gauge where the student is succeeding and where they may need additional support, this will make sure their personal goals are being met and allows them to express their opinions.
My personal experience in teaching environments as a student, have enabled me to have in-depth knowledge into the best ways to support others, and this is evident within my classes. I have always been in positions where it is required for me to work with people from various backgrounds, who speak different languages and in my personal life this is common as well therefore, I have the ability to connect with a range of different people.
