Lessons are designed to adapt to students needs, for example during exam season there will be a stronger focus on exam style questions and how to structure them.

My teaching methods do not just rely on teaching the subject knowledge but equipping students with academic tools such as recall, synthesis and critical analysis.

I have worked in schools for a number of years, while also studying psychology as an undergraduate and postgraduate degree. I have an understanding of educational standards as well as being DBS checked & experience with safeguarding procedures. My current work involves working with children, with their social and emotional needs.

I have previously given online tuition, teaching English to students who's first language is not English, while advising them on university and job applications, this includes studying for IELTs exams, in which many students have passed. As well as editing and assisting with applications.

The usual structure of my lessons are based on a learning objective, in which the topic will be explored in detail in accordance to the curriculum. Identifying any information that students may struggle with and building those skills from foundational knowledge towards a more specialised understanding. The skills taught in my lesson will not only teach them psychology, but also skills that are transferable in other subjects, such as English, maths and science.

Homework will be given to students, which will require a minimum pass mark, and detailed explanations of what is expected.

Most importantly, tutoring relies on motivating and inspiring pupils to pursue their dreams, and work hard in their studies. So for me, it is important that I will be a learning mentor for all my pupils and tailor their experiences according to what they require or need.
