As a current student at Loughborough University and a former student at Hurtwood house college, I have acquired a strong academic foundation and have a native language proficiency in Italian, coming from my family heritage, which I believe I can put to good use with teaching. Having pursued
Italian as a subject at A levels, I achieved an A* grade with only one year of dedicated study.
While I may not possess formal teaching experience, my extensive background in conversational and written Italian has equipped me with the ability to effectively communicate linguistic concepts in an accessible manner. I am confident that my genuine passion for the language, combined
with my commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, will contribute positively to the learning experience of my students.
I offer fully personalized lessons with a main focus in conversational italian, as spoken in italy.
A level lessons will include: main themes required for A levels and an in depth understanding of them with model essays and questions. ”La Vita e Bella” movie and “Io non ho paura” book to analyse with quotes.
Beginners lessons will be more focused on teaching conversational italian rather than the grammar of it. It is important to enjoy learning the language than having to immediately get into the boring technicalities of it, which of course will be done after a couple weeks of conversational italian.
Normally the dynamics of the lesson will look like this: call, speak a bit about your day in italian, then dive into the content with me explaining it first and then getting you to answer some practice questions to see if you understood the content properly.
