Each week was really great. Yvonne would always make sure I was comfortable and most of the skills that she has taught I now use them on a day to day basis.

Yvonne is one of those persons I believe is born to teach. It comes naturally to her and because of that, there is always a close teacher-student connection. She understands her craft at a cellular level and so she is able to effortlessly impart critical information. Literally, one of the best to ever do it. YCI!

I was lucky to have Yvonne as a lecturer years ago, and I can honestly say she’s exceptional. Her dedication to her students was clear back then and still stands out today. I know Yvonne through the Your Commonwealth Youth Magazine, an online journalism project of the Commonwealth Secretariat, where she was the Editor. I noticed that she was meticulous in editing the articles of all Correspondents. She understands how to manage writers who hail from different countries and cultures, such as Bangladesh in my case. We bonded despite our geographical distance. I also noticed that she is very adept at providing online classes, despite the technological barriers that writers like me, who come from developing countries, may have. Yvonne not only edited my articles but she went a step further and trained me in op-ed writing. She proactively identified my shortcomings and honed my skills to become a better writer. I still use her op-ed writing techniques in crafting compelling articles. Yvonne is a nurturing and an effective coach. She is a talented motivational speaker too, from whom you can confidently learn public speaking and written communication.

Yvonne was an exceptional lecturer. Her deep knowledge and engaging teaching style made complex concepts easy to understand. Her passion for the subject inspired us all, and her approachable nature provided invaluable guidance. She made a lasting impact on my education and personal growth.

Mrs. Irving-Chin was an excellent coach. With her amazing charm and personality, I got to level up my speech and writing skills. Taking me from a silent person to some one who is confident in my public speaking.

YCI is one of the most patient educators out there. There were times when I felt like the tasks were overwhelming and she was a shoulder to lean on in order to get through it. Overall, she's great!

Wow. Yvonne is heavenly sent. Firstly, she had a consultant session with me to get to know better and where I would need improvement in. My main purpose for these sessions was to enhance my public speaking skills and recover my confidence and I can tell you that Yvonne has genuinely helped me to achieve these and more. A mild mannered professional of the highest order. Yvonne is gentle yet firmly persistent in conveying best practices of news anchoring and voice over. As my trainer, she brought me from shy and reserved, to confident and diverse (meaning, I read news, sports and also host radio and TV programmes). What sets her apart from others, is her continued support. Yvonne still watches when I anchor and provides valuable, well needed feedback. She still gives me pronunciation tips and commendations when earned. I remember asking her to accompany me in studio for moral support when I just started and she willingly obliged.
