As a tutor, my dynamic nature allows me to adapt and cater to the unique needs and learning styles of my students, creating an engaging and interactive learning environment. My educational background provides students with a solid foundation of knowledge in the subject matter. I approach with patience allowing me to treat each student's learning journey with understanding and empathy, providing the necessary support and guidance they need to overcome challenges and excel. We take an initial intake on what the student hopes to gain out of their lessons. Once I am clear on that, we begin to develop a road map to their goals. This can be exciting because a student begins to see a path to get there. Once we establish this, I use different tools to engage and nurture their minds on the subjects I teach. Writing, language arts, or social sciences can feel daunting at first, but with some good habits, study skills, and focus, they can become areas of enjoyment and success. Being in an online format can appear difficult, however, I have worked with students in this format for many years, both clinically and in the classroom. I find they can sometimes be drawn to this format of learning, especially with how technology is advancing. I also encourage the student to share any concerns or feedback they might have. Learning together can provide a great setting for growth. I look forward to finding how each of my students learns best and how to best support them in fostering their education.
