Lessons will be tailored to your child’s needs, whether it is image based to support methods or vocabulary based to support language skills. After an initial assessment or information from yourself about which skills you will like your child to work on, lessons will be developed from there. I will provide an I do, we do, you do approach to show expected outcomes and deliver skills slowly and repeatedly to support long term memory retainment. Lessons will be designed around your child’s likes in order to support their understanding through a familiar story or character. I will praise your child and support their stamina for learning. I am familiar with teaching Year 1 children up to Year 6 and have been a teacher for 8 years. I am also a trained SENCO.
