The first lesson would be a short one just getting to know the student. What level you are at, how old, the exam board you study, what grades you've achieved etc. From there, we will discuss what your strong areas are and what areas you feel you struggle with and from that we should be able to work on a plan together of how you'd like the tutoring to go.

Then in the actual lessons we will work on the areas we previously discussed. I personally believe the best way to learn is through practice so I will bring problem sheets with questions to work through from the exam board you study. It will be difficult at the start so we will work through the questions together and I will explain any topics you are not sure about. Eventually, we will get to a point where you're an expert and can do nearly all the questions by yourself.

Closer to exam date we will switch our focus to exam prep. This may include longer sessions where we do mock papers or you do mock papers in your own time and bring them to the session with any areas that you are still struggling with.

And of course feedback is always welcome. These sessions are for your benefit and it would be a waste if you weren't getting anything out of them so please feel free to let me know if something isn't working for you or if you'd like us to try a different approach. I'm very adaptable and will happily change our sessions to suit your individual needs.
