Completing a degree in chemical engineering requires a solid understanding of mathematical and scientific principles. And so my knowledge of pure, statistcal or mechanical mathematics along with chemistry, biology and physics lends itself well to those studying gcses and A level. At the same time my prior experience in tutoring encompasses a wide range of ages and ability levels.
Having taught a variety of subject content and within a plethora of contexts, I prefer to discuss with the student what works best for them first.
Different people learn the best in different ways and so after an initial session I will be able to tailor lesson plans and objectives to you or your child.
This can range from more classical tutoring to plans where I identify deficiencies in understanding of the the desired subtopics and go through them step by step patiently so the student appreciates the nuance of the topic rather than merely memorising a set of methods.
Some students may require visual aids to understand key concepts while others may be more comfortable working with creative problem solving. Whatever way you learn I can accommodate.
It all depends on the individual needs and goals of the student. However you can always be sure of the fact that whatever way you learn I will support and coach you to achieve your academic goals.
