- My Profile and Experience
I am a classically trained piano teacher. I started piano and eurhythmics lessons at the age of 3. I studied solo piano, ensembles and accompaniment as well as composition, vocals, violin and cello at a music conservatoire in Japan. During my university, I actively collaborated with instrumentalists and singers as an accompanist. Also, I accomplished teaching licenses for Music at the secondary school level in Japan and became a qualified music teacher.
My interests in music are not limited to performance and teaching but expanding my knowledge in the modern music industry, after completing a Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano Performance in Japan, I relocated to London to study MA in Music Industry Management.
My main repertoire are including Mozart, Chopin, Ravel, Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev. I love ballet, opera and orchestras and visit theatres, halls and opera houses in my free time.
I enjoy teaching and interacting with people and students through music. My teaching experience began back in university, taught piano and basic music theory to a wide range of pupils from children to adults. I believe that learning music could be a wonderful experience that will bring your life joy and expands your opportunities in many ways. I value communicating well with students first and getting to know them deeply. Technique and finger exercises are essential to learning the piano, however, it is better to learn the piano while enjoying the music by understanding each other's goals and personalities, and then taking an approach that best suits each student.
