I like to establish a rapport with students to provide a comfortable learning environment that builds confidence as well as knowledge! The dynamic of the lessons will be less like a teacher and a student, and more like a helpful buddy or mentor, depending on the age of the student.
- For languages (Spanish, Japanese) I can teach and mark grammar, as well as being a conversation partner to support speaking and pronunciation. I achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Spanish, and A*s in Japanese GCSE and A Level, as well as 14 years of experience in Japanese school.
- For English and Psychology, I can teach content, build skills, mark essays and provide constructive feedback. I achieved A*s in both at A Level, and 9s in both English Language and English Literature at GCSE.
- For violin playing, I have 12+ years of violin playing and a Distinction in ABRSM Grades 6, 7 and 8.
Students will also have access to many of the revision and lesson notes and materials that I used myself. All of my teaching is based on my own academic experience, having achieved all 9s and all A*s at GCSE and A Level. I have also had experience supporting younger students in my school, such as by being an EAL (English as an Additional Language) mentor teaching English, a Sixth Form mentor and by working in the educational and outreach team at ZSL (Zoological Society London) to teach primary school children and support their learning activities. I look forward to meeting you! Please message me if you are in any way interested or have any questions.
