Yuka is a very friendly and easy to like tutor with a bubbly personality. It was always a pleasure to attend her classes and I always looked forward to them every week. Her teaching is excellent and the classes were always well structured, but also fun and engaging. I'm glad she didn't always stick rigidly to the textbooks for the entire class too; it made things feel more natural and fun which is what language learning should be in my opinion.

My son, Harry, and I attended Yuka's Saturday morning beginner's Japanese classes a few years ago. It was great fun! Yuka consistently created lessons that were practical and entertaining - very cleverly constructed. Highly recommended!

Yuka is one of the most lovely women I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting! She tutored me in Japanese when I was a young teenager and after taking a considerable break from my studies due to A levels and a 5 year university degree, I’ll be looking to start my studies again with her very soon. She is so patient and really accommodating to your study/language proficiency goals - an absolute gem!

Yuka's Japanese lessons have always been fantastic! When I signed up to private lessons, she first worked with me to personalise the content I wanted to cover in my lessons. This was really useful for me because I already had a lot of basic knowledge of Japanese from when I had self-taught. Not only that, but the way she teaches is incredibly easy to understand and she will always take the time to make sure you understand something completely before moving on. She has always been supportive of me and my studies ever since.

Absolutely wonderful! Yuka’s lessons were always fun, the content was always well prepared and at the right level and she always made me feel confident by the end. She always seemed to go over and above with end of year cookery lessons and is an all-round lovely human being. I highly recommend Yuka as both a personal tutor and a class teacher

She makes the lessons fun. Good mix of theory and practical exercises, really fun songs. She also uses very good videos to learn about Japan and it's culture.
